Toyota has revealed the update of the Yaris Cross, which receives a more powerful hybrid system and is expected to hit the market in the first quarter of 2024.
Thus, the renewed Yaris Cross is equipped with a hybrid system that combines a 1.5-liter engine with an electric motor, allowing for a combined power of 131 horsepower and a maximum torque of 185 Nm.
The increase in power allows the Toyota SUV to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 10.7 seconds and promises CO2 emissions between 103 and 122 g/km.
Toyota has also equipped the renewed Yaris Cross Hybrid with new acoustic absorption panels to eliminate noise and vibrations, as well as thicker windshields and side windows.
Inside, there is a 12.3-inch digital instrument panel, available in the most equipped versions, which offers new graphics. In addition, the infotainment system features a 9 or 10.5-inch screen with a new voice assistant activated by the phrase ‘Hey Toyota’.
Toyota has also announced that the Smart Connect system has been updated to support over-the-air updates and wireless Android Auto and Apple Carplay connectivity. In addition, the renewed Cross Hybrid now features the Smart Digital Key with remote control function.
The driving assistance systems have also been updated, with the Pre-Collision System, Acceleration Suppression, Proactive Driving Assistance, Safe Exit Assistance, and Rear Seat Reminder now standard in all trim levels. Additionally, the Adaptive Cruise Control is smoother and faster than before.
With an expected arrival in the market for the first quarter of 2024, the renewed Yaris Cross Hybrid will be available in the launch phase with a Premiere Edition version, featuring a two-tone body, 18-inch alloy wheels, and interior details in Urban Khaki color, matching the body color.
