Kyle Busch is going through a tough time with RCR in 2024. Richard Childress and Kyle Busch entered this year with hopes of redemption after a strong start in the 2024 season. Busch began his first season with RCR positively, winning three races before the halfway point of the year. However, his performance gradually declined, leading to an early elimination from the playoffs.
Throughout the 2024 season, Busch faced increasingly difficult circumstances as the team failed to provide competitive cars capable of consistently competing for top-10 positions. Even when he has a fast car, luck has not been on his side as he has been involved in incidents with other drivers. Despite these challenges, the owner of RCR remains confident that they can regain their former greatness with Busch.
During race week in Nashville, Childress discussed his team’s poor performance and admitted that he still believes in Busch’s abilities, just as he did when he first hired him. Childress believes that by making certain changes, they can return to winning.
Busch himself acknowledged that he does not feel comfortable enough in the Chevy No:8, which prevents him from taking the necessary risks that could lead to better results. Richard Childress must collaborate with his team to provide Busch with a competitive car, as that is the only thing holding him back from securing a victory. It will be interesting to see how the rest of the 2024 season unfolds for Busch.
