Alessandro Alunni Bravi, CEO and team representative of Sauber, spoke during the FIA Press Conference at the Formula 1 World Championship in Monaco. He discussed the fluidity of the Formula 1 market in 2025 and the recent rumors about Carlos Sainz’s possible transfer to Williams. Sauber previously announced that Nico Hulkenberg will join the Haas team next season as they transition to Audi. Bravi confirmed that Sainz is their top choice to partner with Hulkenberg, but there are reports that Williams is also interested in signing him. Bravi dismissed speculation that Sainz is under pressure to make a decision by the end of the month and emphasized Sauber’s goal of having the best possible driver pairing for their long-term project with Audi. He acknowledged that Sauber has faced difficulties at the start of the season, with zero points in the Constructors’ standings, attributing it to lack of performance. Despite introducing a new floor in Imola, the team still needs to work on closing the gap with their competitors and improving their overall performance.
