The announcement of the collaboration between the two companies was made on Wednesday. According to the agreement, which did not disclose financial details, the HP logo will be featured on the Ferrari Formula 1 cars for the first time during the Miami Grand Prix from May 3 to 5. During this event, the team will compete under the name Scuderia Ferrari HP, as stated in a joint statement from the companies.
To celebrate this partnership, an exclusive paint job for the Ferrari car was specially designed for the Miami Grand Prix.
Since ending their previous partnership with Mission Winnow from Philip Morris at the end of the 2021 season, Ferrari has not had a main sponsor associated with their racing team.
As part of the agreement, Ferrari will have access to HP’s technology and services, including PCs and adaptable devices, collaboration products and services, and printing capabilities.
“The integration of HP’s high-performance products and services… will enhance training accuracy and optimize strategic decision-making for Scuderia Ferrari HP and the other teams of the Cavallino Rampante, both on and off the track,” the statement says.
Ferrari and HP also expressed their commitment to accelerating sustainable innovation and working together to expand educational initiatives within their teams and communities.
According to a Ferrari press release, representatives from both organizations will be present for the unveiling of the Scuderia Ferrari HP paint job before the Miami Grand Prix. This exclusive edition was specifically designed for the event.
The press release also mentioned that Ferrari CEO Benedetto Vigna, Scuderia Ferrari HP Team Principal Fred Vasseur, drivers Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz, and HP CEO Enrique Lores will be in attendance.
Vigna commented on the new partnership, stating: “Our founder instilled in us the constant desire to progress. This drives us to innovate on the road and on the track, as well as our commitment to a sustainable future, from carbon neutrality to educating the younger generations. At HP, we have found a partner who shares these values. We are excited to start our collaboration and face new opportunities and challenges together.”
HP CEO, Enrique Lores, added: “With technology, performance, and exceptional craftsmanship driving the future, the partnership between HP and Ferrari is a natural fit. Both brands have rich histories that have stood the test of time. Through this unique collaboration, we also have the opportunity to reach new audiences, drive business growth, and create a lasting impact for our shared customers and communities. Together, we will leverage the global stage of racing to accelerate sustainable innovation.”
