Skoda has announced that it has started production of the refreshed Octavia at its facilities in Kvasiny, Czech Republic, while production of the brand’s bestseller continues at the Mladá Boleslav factory.
The simultaneous production of the fourth generation Octavia at both factories is only possible after Skoda decided to move the production of the new Superb to Volkswagen’s facilities in Bratislava.
“By producing units of the Skoda Octavia at our Kvasiny factory, we are efficiently utilizing our flexible production network and fully leveraging the capacities of our factories. In addition to comprehensively preparing for the launch of additional Octavia units in Kvasiny, we have established a training center that provides the ideal environment to train and further enhance our team”, says Andreas Dick, member of the board of directors of Skoda Auto for production and logistics.
It is worth noting that the new generation of the Octavia continues to be available in both estate and sedan formats, featuring a more modern style and enhanced technology.
The bestseller from the brand in Mladá Boleslav, launched in 1996, has already sold 7.15 million units, and therefore remains a very important model for Skoda.
