The Skoda announced that it is already present in the popular online video game Fortnite, with the launch of its “Out of Bounds Odyssey”, inviting players and enthusiasts of the well-known video game to explore the newly created custom map of the Czech car manufacturer.
At the center of Skoda’s new adventure is the fully electric Enyaq Coupe RS, where players who find the vehicle can participate in three unique challenges. Completing them gives players an advantage in the game, especially in exploring and discovering hard-to-reach areas of the map. Echoing Skoda’s “Explore More” message, players who uncover hidden locations are encouraged to take a selfie in the game, post it on Instagram, and tag the official Skoda Auto account @skodagram for a chance to win exclusive prizes in the game.
The brand has already stated that its presence in Fortnite is a strategic move to inspire potential future customers, particularly among Generation Z, that is, those born between the late 1990s and the early 2010s. This demographic sample, which constitutes about one-third of the world’s population, dedicates approximately a quarter of their free time to video games.
