Skywell is yet another brand joining the group of Chinese automotive manufacturers that has recently entered the European market.
Already present in several countries in the Old Continent, Skywell took advantage of its presence at the Paris Motor Show to introduce the electric hatchback Q. The new model measures 4.3 meters in length, 1.8 m in width, and 1.5 m in height, fitting perfectly into the family car segment.
With a rounded and clean design, Skywell’s new 100% electric model features a front section that includes a LED light bar connecting the two headlights across the entire front, as well as a darkened grille.
The profile is characterized by pronounced creases on the doors and small vertical vents located behind the front wheel arches, as well as side skirts that appear to be made of forged carbon fiber, and 18’’ alloy wheels.
As for the rear section, like the front, it features a light bar that spans the entire tailgate and connects with the slender taillights, along with a generous diffuser.
In the interior, Skywell states that the Q is equipped with a “generous” amount of technology, highlighted by the 15.6’’ infotainment screen, a lighting system with 128 colors, along with a Metz audio system featuring eight speakers and a small touchscreen for rear-seat passengers.
With a minimalist cabin, there is also a note for the glass roof, which allows for strong illumination of the interior. The equipment also includes a wireless charger for smartphones, a 360-degree panoramic parking camera, and a 220 V socket.
Skywell also announced that the Q will be available with two battery packs, although the Chinese brand has not disclosed their capacities. What is known is that the larger battery will offer a range of up to 482 km, can charge from 10 to 80% in 20 minutes, and will power an electric motor with 200 hp, mounted at the front.
