Stellantis and Infineon have announced that they will collaborate to develop an energy architecture to support Stellantis’s ambition to provide safe and accessible mobility for all.
The partnership includes significant supply agreements and capacity for Infineon’s PROFET smart power switches, which will replace traditional fuses, reduce wiring, and enable Stellantis to become one of the first vehicle manufacturers to implement intelligent power network management.
Additionally, Infineon will provide silicon carbide semiconductors that will assist Stellantis in its efforts to standardize its power modules, improve the performance and efficiency of electric vehicles, and simultaneously reduce costs.
Stellantis’s partnership with the world’s leading semiconductor company for power systems also includes the supply of AURIX microcontrollers aimed at the first generation of the STLA Brain zonal architecture.
“As outlined in our Dare Forward 2030 strategic plan, we are securing the supply of crucial semiconductor solutions necessary to continue our transition to an electrified future, leveraging innovative E/E architectures for our next-generation platforms”, said Maxime Picat, Chief Purchasing & Supplier Quality Officer of Stellantis.
