Carlos Sainz did not have an easy time on Friday at the Mexican Grand Prix of Formula 1. Yesterday, the Ferrari driver had hydraulic problems that cost him time in the first free practice at the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez, while in FP2 he improved his time, but did not go beyond 11th place.
According to the driver from Madrid, despite the tests for Pirelli and the setback in FP1, it was possible to complete the work program: ‘A busy Friday here in Mexico, as working with prototype tires always complicates things. Despite a small setback in FP1, we were able to cover our main items on the agenda throughout the day’.
After the first day of the GP, Sainz is aware that there is still a lot to do: ‘There is still some work to do before qualifying, so I am looking forward to exploring our data and getting back in the car for FP3. The atmosphere was, as always, fantastic! Thank you to all the fans for your support’.
