The Miami Grand Prix revealed the disappointing special livery of the Ferrari, following a disappointing trend in modern Formula 1. The team had built up anticipation for a predominantly blue livery on their SF-24 to celebrate their new sponsorship with Hewlett-Packard (HP). However, the revealed livery falls short of expectations. It features blue elements such as the front and rear wings, halo, wheel rims, side mirrors, race numbers, and stickers on the sides. Although these shades of blue have significance in Ferrari’s history, most of the car remains in the traditional red. This lack of variation is frustrating, especially considering the emphasis on blue in the teasers and the drivers’ completely blue overalls. Ferrari missed the opportunity to create something truly different and eye-catching for their new sponsorship. By adopting a fully blue livery, the team could have made a statement and attracted significant attention. Instead, the half-hearted approach makes it seem like just another footnote in the history of slightly different F1 liveries.
