The Citroën has just announced the opening of orders for the new ë-C3, the unprecedented 100% electric version, which will be available from €23,300 for the entry-level version.
Focused on affordable electric mobility, the Citroën ë-C3 uses a 113 hp motor, associated with a 44 kWh LFP technology battery, sufficient for the announcement of 320 km of combined autonomy in the WLTP cycle, a value that allows for use far beyond urban areas. In addition, it can take advantage of fast charging stations up to 100 kW, making it possible to recharge the battery from 20% to 80% in 26 minutes. It also has the capacity for single-phase charging at 7.4 kW (4h10m), and (optionally) three-phase charging at 11 kW (2h50m).
With traction delivered to the front wheels, the new electric model from the French brand announces a 0-100 km/h acceleration in 11.0 seconds.
The new Citroën ë-C3 is available in two versions, the You entry-level variant, which is equipped with Citroën Advanced Comfort suspension, a first in this segment, as well as the new Citroën Head Up Display and “My Citroën Play,” with a smartphone station, as well as the e-ROUTES application with Connect Plus (intelligent travel planner) and a USB Type C port on the panel (fast charging 3A).
The driving support systems also include the Active Safety Brake emergency braking system, speed limiter, hill start assist, active lane departure warning, traffic sign recognition, driver attention alert, collision risk alert, and six airbags (front, side, and curtain).
In this configuration, the new ë-C3 also includes air conditioning, electric front window and exterior mirror adjustment, black and grey Chinée fabric upholstery, foldable rear bench seat, and electric parking brake, LED headlights (with automatic high beam activation), LED daytime running lights, 16″ steel wheels, and rear spoiler.
The ë-C3 Max version is complemented by Citroën Advanced Comfort seats, Metropolitan grey upholstery, leather-wrapped steering wheel, electric windows front and rear, and automatic air conditioning.
The infotainment system is equipped with a 10.25″ touchscreen and offers a 3D navigation system, compatibility with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. In addition, there is wireless smartphone charging, a reversing camera, and three USB Type C inputs, one on the dashboard and two for rear passengers.
On the exterior, the highlights are the 17″ Atacamite alloy wheels with diamond-cut finish, glossy black roof bars, tinted rear windows, 3D LED taillights, electrically heated and foldable exterior mirrors, and rear parking sensors.
Citroën has announced that the new ë-C3 is available in a palette of 6 body colors, from Azul Monte Carlo (standard in both versions) to optional colors such as Branco Banquise (solid), Cinzento Mercure, Azul Bright, Preto Perla Nera, and Vermelho Elixir (metallic). The roof is the same color as the body in the You versions and two-tone (in white or black) in the ë-C3 Max.
As for prices, the French brand has announced that the new 100% electric model is available from €23,300 for the entry-level version, while the variant with the Max finishing level has a starting price of €27,800. The first units are expected to be delivered to customers before next summer.
