Many drivers have already surrendered to the advantages of V16 lights, such as Help Flash, a very useful and effective complement to the traditional emergency triangle.
The great advantage of this lighting equipment is that it allows signaling an accident or breakdown at a greater distance, especially at night, without the driver needing to leave the car.
However, both the triangle and the V16 light may become outdated with the arrival of the new technology that the Italian company Marelli will present at CES 2024.
It is called Intelligent Social Display and allows the car to send messages to other drivers or other road users.
They are screens that can be embedded in various components of a car’s bodywork, composed of multiple LED diodes that light up in multiple colors, creating visible pictograms at a great distance, alerting to a immobilized vehicle on the road or indicating any other occurrence on the road, such as traffic jams or roadworks. They can also warn pedestrians to cross the street safely or simply thank other drivers for giving way.
The Italian company claims that there are at least two Chinese car manufacturers interested in incorporating this technology into their production models.
