CAR DELIVERED TO SHOP AFTER BEING SUBMERGED IN FLOOD
In a shocking turn of events, a Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS was delivered to a shop in a devastating condition after being submerged in floodwaters for three days. The car, which had been stored in an underground garage, was no longer functional and was deemed a total write-off by the insurance company.
When the doors were opened, the scene inside was nothing short of apocalyptic. The car was covered in mud and water, with parts of it already turning green. The dashboard was caked in a thick layer of mud, and the seats were so dirty that no one would dare to sit in them. The stench inside the car was unbearable, resembling that of a broken fridge in the midst of summer.
The damage to the car was so severe that even the engine was stuck, rendering the car completely immobile. The dashboard no longer lit up, and it was clear that this once luxurious Porsche had become nothing more than a trash bin on wheels.
Despite the grim situation, RS Dynamics, a tuning shop based in Solingen, Germany, has taken on the challenge to revive the Porsche. The shop has aptly named the project “Seacret” and is determined to bring the car back to life.
The Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS was a prized possession for its owner, who had paid a hefty sum of around 190,000 euros ($1,204,298) for it just last year. The car was equipped with the exclusive Weissach package, which added an additional 16,460 euros ($17,698) to its price tag.
The Weissach package included a titanium roll cage, carbon fiber components such as the hood, roof, side mirrors, and rear wing, and titanium tailpipes that gave the car a race-car look. Inside, the car featured yellow six-point harnesses and Race-Tex covering on the upper part of the dashboard.
Photos and videos uploaded to Instagram showcased the car’s optional 20-inch forged magnesium wheels, which may be sold separately if the repair proves unsuccessful.
The team at RS Dynamics is determined to restore this Porsche to its former glory, despite the immense challenges they face. The car, which had once been cherished and protected, will now undergo a meticulous teardown and restoration process.
The owner of the car, who had stored it in an underground garage to shield it from harm, never could have predicted the natural calamity that would befall their beloved sports car. Heavy rainfall and flooding in Slovenia caused widespread damage, burying the Porsche in mud and water.
As RS Dynamics embarks on the daunting task of resurrecting the Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS, the automotive world watches with bated breath, hoping for a triumphant comeback for this once magnificent machine.
SHOCKING DISCOVERY: Porsche Rescued from Mud and Flood!
In a daring rescue operation, a team managed to salvage a Porsche that was buried in mud after a devastating flood. The luxury sports car, which had only clocked less than 1,000 miles on the odometer, was purchased by a dealer in Frankfurt before being sold to RS Dynamics. These brave individuals believe that this car can still hit the road once again.
Before its unfortunate encounter with mud and water, this Porsche boasted an impressive 493 horsepower and 331 pound-feet of torque. Equipped with a 4.0-liter flat-six engine and a seven-speed, dual-clutch PDK automatic transmission, it could go from 0 to 62 mph in just 3.4 seconds and reach a top speed of 196 mph. However, all of that seems like a distant memory now.
As news of the rescue spread, social media users couldn’t resist making some humorous comments. One person suggested putting the car in rice to dry it out, drawing a parallel with the popular method for water-damaged smartphones. Another joked that it would come out looking like a Hyundai. Despite the jokes, it’s clear that this is no easy task.
The process of restoring this Porsche to its former glory begins with a thorough disassembly of every component. The dashboard, seats, and floor mats are all removed and given a power wash. However, the real challenge lies in reviving the 4.0-liter flat-six engine, which will require more than just a power wash to get it running again.
It’s a race against time for RS Dynamics as they work tirelessly to bring this Porsche back to life. Stay tuned for updates on this incredible journey of resurrection.
