Considered by many motorsport fans as one of the most spectacular competition models with an enviable track record of victories in endurance races, the Porsche 962 that belonged to the Swiss team, Brun Motorsport, is now for sale and can be yours.
The model that emerged in 1984, to take the place of the 956, achieved a wide range of victories until the end of the 1990s.
The 962, which will now be auctioned by RM Sotherby’s on January 31st in France, has the chassis number 962-177, and participated in the 1991 24 Hours of Le Mans with drivers Walter Brun, the team’s founder, who was alongside Jésus Pareja and Oscar Larrauri, finishing in 10th position overall.
The model that showcased the Repsol colors at the iconic French endurance race appears in the auction, which will now take place with the image of FAT International, used in a race at Nürburgring, and is equipped with a 2.6-liter six-cylinder turbocharged engine capable of delivering 680 hp.
