At 36 years old, Nico Hülkenberg continues to expand the unwanted record of the most races without podiums – now being 200 after the Mexican Grand Prix. Timo Glock believes that with the right equipment, #27 could be in more desirable competitions than struggling to score points with Haas.
In an interview with Sky Deutschland, the former Formula One driver argued that Haas will have to provide better material to the German… who shows potential for “other flights”: ‘Looking ahead to next year, it is up to Haas to give Hülkenberg a better car than this year, especially in races. We don’t need to discuss his performance in qualifying, it is remarkable. Of course, with performances like that, he is always being talked about by top teams’.
Glock has no doubt that in one of the top teams, Hülkenberg would fight for the best results: ‘If Hülkenberg drove for a top team, he is also someone who can fight for podiums and victories’.
