Toyota Motor Europe (TME) announced the start of production of the new C-HR, produced at the Japanese brand’s factory in Sakarya, Turkey.
Developed with the European market in mind, the new generation C-HR measures 4.36 meters in length, 1.83 meters in width, and, depending on the version, 1.55 or 1.56 meters in height (with a trunk capacity of 310-388 liters), maintaining its dynamic appearance characterized by the short body projections, large wheels – up to 20″ rims – and the coupe-style shape with a four-door body and a sharply descending roofline. Another novelty is the two-tone paint, where the contrasting black roof extends to the C pillars and the rear bumper.
In the interior, the highlight is the new fully digital 12.3″ instrument panel and the central screen with 8″ or 12.3″ – complemented, in the most equipped versions, by the head-up display. The infotainment system features wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connections, as well as the Toyota MyT application, which allows remote control of, among other functions, the climate control to heat or cool the vehicle before starting the journey.
The refreshed Toyota coupe SUV will be launched in the national market with the 1.8L HEV (Hybrid Electric Vehicle) engine, which combines a 98 hp four-cylinder gasoline engine with a 94 hp electric motor, for a combined maximum power of 140 hp, an acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 9.9 seconds, and a maximum speed of 170 km/h.
Toyota has already started the online reservation period for the refreshed C-HR, one of its most important models for the European market, and it will be available starting from €41,764.
