Currently living in Lisbon, Michael Fassbender decided, in 2019, to pause his acting career to dedicate himself to another passion: motor racing. The Irish film star, nominated for an Oscar for Best Actor for his performance in the film “Steve Jobs”, stepped away from the big screen after his participation in “X-Men: Dark Phoenix” to embark on an intense preparation in pursuit of his childhood dream of racing in the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
The actor’s tough journey to the biggest stage of endurance racing, including a dramatic accident in his second participation where he lost control of the Porsche and crashed into a wall, is depicted in the documentary film “Michael Fassbender: Road to Le Mans”, which premieres tomorrow, November 17th, on the official Porsche channel on Youtube.
