Max Verstappen, from Red Bull Racing, had a great performance during the training session for the Austrian Formula 1 Grand Prix. Despite facing an engine problem, Verstappen quickly returned to the track and set the fastest time of the session, finishing 0.276 seconds ahead of Oscar Piastri from McLaren. Verstappen’s teammate, Lando Norris, had a promising start but made a mistake and ended up in 13th place. Mercedes, who initially led the time tables, had George Russell struggling at Turn 1 and with traffic, while Lewis Hamilton opted for harder tires and finished in fifth place. Ferrari secured the third and fourth positions with Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz, respectively, followed by Esteban Ocon and Lance Stroll from Aston Martin. Red Bull’s Yuki Tsunoda and Aston Martin’s Fernando Alonso completed the top 10. Sergio Perez, also from Red Bull, had a challenging race with softer tires and finished in 12th place. Additionally, the drivers had to deal with revised track limits, including the addition of gravel strips and a blue line on the kerbs to assist Race Control in monitoring rule violations.
