How frequently do you witness a tennis superstar showing concern for the well-being of his/her fans? Carlos Alcaraz was merely a child when he had a vision of achieving success in the top echelons of tennis. Even after accomplishing a significant part of his dream at a young age, the Spanish player never forgot what it was like to be a child with aspirations and therefore values the young individuals who admire him. As he entered the courts of Cincinnati, the world had the opportunity to catch a glimpse of his endearing nature.
Carlos Alcaraz decided to take a break from competition after his defeat against Novak Djokovic at the Paris Olympics. Although he had to skip the ongoing tournament in Montreal, the Spaniard ultimately made the decision to return, resuming his participation in the Cincinnati Masters. As he stepped onto the hard courts for a practice session, his concern for the children being pushed by adults garnered significant attention.
Recently, TennisTV’s official social media account shared a video in which the Wimbledon champion Carlos Alcaraz can be seen interacting with his young admirers. While he was busy dedicating his time to the little ones, they were being pushed by adult fans who were also eager to meet and greet the young champion. While many athletes may not pay much attention to how such situations are handled, Alcaraz saw it as his own duty to call for proper behavior.
“Guys, there are children! There are children in front, alright? Don’t push, alright,” the 21-year-old can be heard saying in the video. The fans, therefore, respected his request and maintained silence so that the young ones could have their moment with the champion. This was primarily because the Spanish player understood the importance of dreaming as a child.
