VinFast is one of the largest automobile manufacturers in Vietnam, founded in 2017 as a subsidiary of Vingroup, one of the largest conglomerates in that Asian country.
The company manufactures SUVs, scooters, and electric buses, which are sold in Vietnam and North America. They are now focused on entering the European market and took advantage of their presence at CES in Las Vegas to introduce the VF 3, a small 100% electric SUV launched in the summer in Vietnam and that the brand will start selling in the US. It is expected to arrive in Europe later.
The VF 3 features a robust urban SUV design with a similar look to the popular Suzuki Jimny, measuring 3.14 meters in length, 1.6 meters in width, and 1.60 meters in height.
Equipped with 16” wheels, this 100% electric model was designed, according to the company, to attract young drivers. For that purpose, it has a minimalist interior that promises ample space and incorporates essential intelligent features for a comfortable driving experience.
To achieve this, the VF3 is equipped with a digital instrument panel, an infotainment system with a 10” screen and compatibility with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as a rear seat that can be folded down to allow the trunk to have a loading capacity of 550 liters.
VinFast has not revealed details about the electric motor or battery, but has mentioned that the VF3 will offer a range of up to 237 km in the WLTP cycle.
