Volvo has announced the arrival of the new Black Edition versions of the 100% electric models EX40 (formerly XC40 Recharge) and EC40 (formerly C40 Recharge) in the national market.
The new models with an exclusive design feature an Onyx Black exterior paint combined with glossy black logos and 20” five-spoke wheels. Inside, this version includes “microtech” or charcoal-toned fabric trim, and comes factory-equipped with Google software.
Regarding technical specifications, it is already known that the EX40 and EC40 versions are available with Single Motor, Single Motor Extended Range, and Twin Motor powertrains, and with a new optional package for the Twin Motor versions of the EC40, which promises more power: the Performance Software Pack.
This provides an increase in power of 34 hp, now offering 442 hp compared to the previous 408 hp, as well as a faster acceleration, benefiting from a new throttle calibration and a “Performance” driving mode. In addition, the range of the new EC40 and EX40 has also increased to up to 583 km and 576 km, respectively.
As for prices, Volvo has announced that the EX40 Black Edition is available starting at €57,391, while the EC40 Black Edition starts at €59,298.
