Volkswagen has decided to add a new version, Pure Urban, to its 100% electric ranges, ID.3, ID.4, and ID.5. This new version comes with 170 hp of power and a 52 kWh battery that promises a range of over 380 km.
In addition to being more affordable, the new Pure Urban versions stand out for their enhanced standard equipment. The new ID.3 Pure Urban, priced from €38,676 (for private customers), includes standard features such as 18’’ alloy wheels, metallic paint, tinted windows, and a rear parking assistance camera. The onboard comfort level is improved with the presence of heated front seats and a dual-zone air conditioning system (Climatronic), and it even includes a navigation system. The 170 hp electric motor coupled to the rear axle allows for acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in just 8.2 seconds and a range of up to 387 km.
The new ID.4 variant, priced from €43,601, offers a range of up to 360 km. With an onboard charger capable of utilizing 145 kWh at fast charging stations, it takes only 25 minutes to restore 80% of the charge. When connected to an 11 kW wallbox (AC), a full charge requires 5.5 hours. Standard features of the ID.4 Pure Urban include 18-inch alloy wheels, tinted rear windows, metallic paint, dual-zone climate control, navigation system, heated front seats, rearview camera, Park Assist Plus, ID. Light, and ambient lighting with 30 colors.
On the other hand, the new Pure Urban variant of the ID.5 announces a range of 365 km and is equipped with 19-inch alloy wheels, matching the ID.4 in terms of equipment offerings, with a final price of €47,461. The acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h is achieved in 8.9 seconds, with 170 hp of power accompanied by 310 Nm of maximum torque. In addition to its spacious interior, the 4.6-meter-long body provides space for a trunk of 549 liters, expandable to 1561 liters.
