A Wimbledon tennis tournament bodyguard, Phillip Harrison, has been sentenced to eight years in prison for assaulting a female colleague after a night of cocaine and alcohol. Harrison, 33, snuck into the woman’s room at a University of Roehampton dorm last June, undressed, and climbed into her bed, despite her repeated objections.
The ex-Royal Engineer bombarded her with flirtatious texts and later begged her not to report the incident, threatening her career. Harrison was unanimously found guilty after a seven-day trial. The judge condemned his “manipulative” behavior and ordered him to sign the offenders’ register for life.
